8’4 Bar System

8' 4 bar system was designed to be light, fast setting and cost effective. This is achieved by minimizing the number of ties and hardware attached to the form. The 8' 4 bar system utilizes lightweight construction, attached hardware, and simple-to-set forms that cannot be beaten for speed, efficiency and accuracy.

Quick Setting
8' 4 bar system has less ties which helps set the forms quicker saving labor on the jobsite. This creates limitations on taller walls and more complex foundations.
Cost Benefit
There is an initial cost benefit as there is less hardware on an 8' 4bar form.
Weight Savings
Originally designed to be hand stacked on a truck the 4 bar system is the lightest panels we manufacture.

8' 4 Bar System Overview

the 4-bar system was designed when panels were stacked flat on trucks and moved by hand around the jobsite. Light weight was key and reducing the number of bars on a form mean it was easier to move around by hand.

4 bar System Limitations

The 4-bar system has some limitations due to the tie spacing. Spacing between ties is 20" - 24" - 24" and 20" to the top of the form. Special consideration is needed when stacking, pumping or vibrating due to "push" or deflection between bars. Contractors need to follow pour rate of 4ft/hour to ensure safe pouring conditions.

Compatible Forms

The 4-bar system will line up with 4' 2 bar, 6' 3 bar, 9' 5 bar, 10' 6 bar and can use 2' 2 bar stackers.
